That is right boys and girls, Ebonvoid's first EP is in the can! The official release will be in February but you can review and purchase the music online now on bandcamp. Also you can check out some of our music and videos on reverbnation. It has been a great ride and we are just at the beginning. We got a lot more music coming up.

Our CD release party will take place on February 20th at Club Edge in Roppongi. We got two other killer bands playing before us. The high energy thrashers Tristaint will open the show followed by the very entertaining Nerd Rock. Ebonvoid will play all the songs from the first EP plus some new songs. For more info please check our facebook page.

As I type this I am listening to the Ebonvoid mixes before the mastering process begins and I'm really liking what I'm hearing. After three years working on this project I can say that this is shaping up way beyond my expectations. Everybody working on this has upped their game over the years and its really encouraging to see! It is very humbling to have literally a team of people working on my music and sharing a vision. I would like to thank KRH studios, Kenneth Andrew, Zak Bond, Kazutomo Ikeda, and Michale de la Riva for the all the hard work they do. They have put in some serious hours on this project! There are others to thank as well in due time. I have had so many new experiences since we began. I even got to sing and shout on this recording! Now I have to teach myself how to sing and play at the same time. Kind of like learning to walk I guess....

We will release a single in the upcoming months as we finish up recording the vocals and guitars for the remaining songs. It will feature four songs. "Towers of the Damned", "Deceit Cycle", "Chains", and "Until My Shadow Disappears". I have some ideas about the art work and layout brewing in my skull. More on that later.

Here is the latest studio update. Enjoy!

There is something happening here!

Thanks to all of those who participated in the benefit for Neil concert. It was a huge success. I think we all got a lot more out of it than just raising money for one person. The feedback has been so positive. It is the desire of many of the folks that were there to get the Tokyo music community together more often whether it be for charity or doing showcases of our original material or both. We are in talks now and trying to set up something in April or May. More on that later!

In other news...
My group will be playing in Toranomon at Le Petit Tonneau this Saturday from 7pm. We will be doing mostly original material. The group features Daisuke Kuroda on guitar, 松崎陽平 on keys, and Mike Marrington, on drums. Le Petit Tonneau serves up authentic French food and wines. Hope to see you there! No cover!

This Sunday February 16 I will be hosting a benefit concert and jam session for my good friend Neil Stalnaker from 11am to 3:30pm. Neil is a three time survivor of throat cancer and is unable to play his horn which is how he makes a living. My hope is that many musicians and music fans will come out for this good cause. We have a really diverse line up of musicians playing that day. Hope to see you there! If you can not make the show but still would like to help out you can buy Neil's music here. Or make a straight donation via paypal to
